Norm Meltzer

The Postmodern Voice of Fitness

Since 1992, Norman Meltzer has been president of the New Bedford-based MW Strength and Conditioning. Norm has consulted on group education, program development, and facility design for various teams, individuals, schools and businesses.

As a strength and conditioning specialist Norm has trained professional, Olympic, college, and high school athletes. He has an extensive background in Olympic style weightlifting. As a competitive weightlifter, Norm is a four time New England Weightlifting Champion. In 1995, he set two IAWA World Records.

The author of several magazine articles, Norm has also appeared on radio and television, demonstrating his strength and conditioning techniques. His most recent publication is a paper featured in the November issue of the Journal of Sports Biomechanics. A graduate of Clark University, Norm is certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (Colorado Springs, Co).
